Important to know:
We customized
this excursion using a Driver-Guide (or Driver Escort). A
Driver Guide is a chauffeurs (or driver) specialized to drive you
around our amazing island. He is able to provide basic historical
information, he can show you the main highlights ... he is
knowledgeable and he has an umbrella of information. Our Driver
Guide will take care to give adequate time at all stops and to
accommodate special requests when possible, he will
assure that your experience in Sicily will be both memorable and
enjoyable.
The Driver Guide is not
a Licensed Tourist Guide
(Licensed Tourist
Guide: are the only professionals -- with a Regional license --
permitted to conduct visits and tours in all sites and museums
within a city) and he cannot escort you inside the monuments because
this is not allowed by Italian Rules. In case you need a Licensed
Tourist Guide you must pay a surcharge and we will arrange for
Licensed Guide to meet you directly on the spot.

Siracusa Jewish and Archaeological
 Full Day from Catania
port

Welcome to the warm, beautiful and pleasant
island of Sicily! Upon arrival at Catania port, you will find the
driver guide waiting holding a sign with your full name. Today
we depart for Siracusa: the tour starts in Acradina, the
site of the earliest Jewish settlement. We will visit the
Catacombs of S. Giovanni and the Crypt of S. Marciano, who,
according to legend, was killed by the Jews of the city. Then, we'll
move to the island of Ortigia and stroll through the narrow
streets of the Giudecca (the ancient Jewish quarter). See the site
of the Synagogue and the Miqwè--a Jewish ritual bath, 11
metres below ground level and the most archaic that has ever been
found in all of Europe. During the afternoon, independent visit
through the Archaeological Area (admission fee: charge)
showcases the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Paradise
Quarry. Later back to Catania port.

Today you are greeted at Catania port and
drive to
Castelmola:
warm friendly people and spectacular panoramas characterize this
village. Castelmola offers a balcony over Taormina and the bay of
Giardini Naxos and is framed by the mysterious and beautiful active
volcano, Mount Etna. Its narrow winding streets and Olde world charm
make Castelmola a destination for anyone wishing to experience the
enchanting beauty of Sicily from one of its most spectacular
villages. Enjoy an independent refreshing glass of Almond Wine
at local bar and be delighted by its unique decor and friendly
staff, its definitely worth the visit. Then continue to the near
Taormina, the world
famous resort of Sicily. On arrival time at leisure to rest or own
explore the town or independent visit to the Greek-Roman Theatre
(admission fee: charge). Later back to Catania Port.

ETNA VOLCANO
AND TAORMINA

Today you are greeted at Catania port and
drive to Etna Park a beautiful Volcano rich in sounds,
perfumes, and colors. An enchanting Alcantara Valley landscape
protected by a nature park you cannot miss the opportunity to
visit if you are in Sicily. The Park extends from the peak of the
volcano to the towns around it. We will enjoy our scenic drive
passing on Castiglione di Sicilia and the Alcantara Gorges
(admission fee: charge). After, we drive along the coast to
Taormina, the world famous resort of Sicily. On arrival time at
leisure to rest or explore the town or independent visit to the
Greek-Roman Theatre (admission fee: charge). During afternoon back
to Catania port.

ETNA VOLCANO IN JEEP RIDE
 Full Day from Catania
port
- (Maximum 6 hours)
Today you are greeted at Catania port
by an Off-road’s driver and transferred
to Etna Volcano. You will enjoy a lovely Jeep experience
through Etna area: Mount Fontana (view of Bove Valley), the Thieves
Cave (grotta dei ladroni), extinct craters of Sartorius Mounts,
lava flow from 2002 eruption. Independent lunch (rate are available
on request) at Farmhouse or Winery to taste typical Sicilian dishes.
During afternoon off-road drive along the
Linguaglossa-Castiglione and Alcantara Gorges. Short
visit to Canyon entrance. Later back to Catania port.
