customized these shore excursions using a Driver-Escorts. You have
to enter inside the monuments alone. The Driver-Escort is able to
provide basic tourist information only and he cannot escort you
inside the sites because this is not allowed by Italian Rules. In
case you need a Licensed Local Guide you must pay a surcharge
and we will arrange for local guide to meet you directly on the
spot.

The price of these
tours does not include the Admission Fees, which are usually around
Euros 8,00 per person payable directly on the spot.
If you are over 65 or
under 18 years old and you have EU or Commonwealth Passport,
the admission fees are free of charge for you showing your document
(or copy of your document) on the spot.
Half Day and Full Day
Excursions:
-Half Day means:
maximum 5 hours from h 8:00AM to h 1:00PM
-Full Day means:
maximum 8 hours from h 8:00AM to h 4:00PM
Gratuities:
Please be so kind as to considerer tipping (out of
appreciation) based on the efficiency and service
you receive.
Gratuities in restaurants are never included in the bill. The
Cover charge is not a tip. If paying with credit cards, please
pay your tip separately in cash to the waiter and this should be 10%
of the total bill. The use of public toilets requires a payment to
the attendant of Euro 0,30 cents (where applicable). Public toilet
charge Euros 0,50 cents.

Although it is one of the most active volcanoes in the world, Mt.
Etna is not particularly dangerous to explore and thousands of
people live on its slopes and in the surrounding areas!

Today we depart for Taormina & Etna Volcano:
first stop will be Taormina, an amazing
Mediterranean resort. On arrival independent visit the Greek-Roman
Theatre and admire the fantastic scenery and view. Time at

short drive takes us to a winery on the
slopes of Mt. Etna. This estate also produces olive oil,
grappa, sparkling wine and artisan food. We indulge in a typical
light-lunch at the farmhouse.

you will find the driver escort waiting holding

Today we depart for Taormina
to meet Chef Antonio Orlando and
Chef Donna Maria. A brief walk takes us to an open air market
where we'll purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and all the ingredients
necessary for the cooking course. Then back to the restaurant to
start cooking. At the end of the cooking course, we will enjoy our
scrumptious creations with the perfect compliment—a beautifully
paired Sicilian wine. Dessert follows accompanied by a typical
local Dessert wine. This afternoon at leisure to explore the town or
shop on your own. Later back to
Messina port.

drive
along the freeway to Roccalumera. From there, the coastal
road, rich of villas, flowering gardens, and picturesque villages,
leads to the historical artist town of Savoca. In a private
house in the village, Bar Vitelli houses a collection of
local artisans' tools and photographs taken when Francis Ford
Coppola shot scenes of The Godfather II. Stroll along
the village's main street past Santa Lucia and San Michele churches
for a short view over the valley. Drive away, we'll find a charming
little village over-looking the Arab-Norman castle of Capo
Sant'Alessio. In 1990, Al Pacino and Sophia Coppola shot scenes
here for The Godfather III. From the main square, a
lane meets the circular steps that ascend to the Gothic-Catalan
portal in front of the Church of San Agostino. Later pass to

& TINDARI SANCTUARY

Today we depart for Cefalů and the Tindari Sanctuary:
Cefalů is a charming coastal town which
boasts a massive Norman Cathedral with outstanding mosaics.
On arrival time to explore the town. Later continue to Tindari.
It was founded as the Greek colony of Tyndaris in 396 BC and
was located on the high ground overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in the
Gulf of Patti. The Battle of Tyndaris took place off the coast in
257 BC. It is also famous for the poem Vento a Tindari,
written by Salvatore Quasimodo, as well as a
Sanctuary to the Madonna and a lagoon. Local legend tells
that the lagoon was created after a pilgrim who came to see the
Madonna refused to pray to the Madonna because she was black. The
woman accidentally dropped her baby into the ocean and the Madonna
made the land rise to save the baby. The sands of Marinello have
taken shape of the profile of the Madonna. During afternoon back to
